No doubt the Pablo Escobar, Colombian drug lord and narcoterrorist, owed his wealth to some brut force however one must also surmise that no one can get that powerful and wealthy without some sort of intelligence. Which begs the question why he didn’t use a small percentage of his wealth lining his store rooms with sheet metal or even just investing in a couple of hungry cats.
Why would he do this?
Apparently each year, drug Baron Pablo Escoban had to write off 10% of his cash holdings because of rats nibbling away at his huge stash of banknotes!
I think perhaps My Escoban may have suffer from the modern disease of spending so much time accumulating for the future that he miss enjoying the now.
This remarkable and funny fact came from the book 1,227 QI Facts To Bow Your Socks Off by John Lloyd and John Mitchinson which is just pact with facts that had me rolling around crying with laughter way after I should have been asleep, but I was definitely and whole heartedly enjoying ‘the now’.
